I picked this clock up a few years ago. It usually sits on my mantle, but today it went to my studio (aka my dining room table) for a photoshoot. I gave it a nice selenium treatment.

Here's an old dead thistle I picked from beside the freeway least year. There's something about these that's really cool. The pattern is soft yet prickly.

Here's my first attempt at macro shooting. I think it came out fine. The lighting is weird in macro photography. Seems like the camera really wants to overexpose. I'll have to try fiddling with the settings to see if I can make it work better. I'm happy with the color, contrast and DOF though.
