The wild flowers are in bloom along the Burke-Gillman trail near my apartment. Here's another one that I found nestled in a bunch of wild grasses that had dried up and gone to seed.

These flowers are just starting to come out on the Burke Gillman trail in North Seattle, Washington. They look like some crazy ancient plant, especially with the red center. When they are more fully open they are far more plain.
