MacBook Pro
A nice pic of my new MacBook Pro. You can also check out my old pic of my G4 powerbook Titanium in the archives. I did this one in the dark to show off the lighted keyboard.

Here's my first attempt at macro shooting. I think it came out fine. The lighting is weird in macro photography. Seems like the camera really wants to overexpose. I'll have to try fiddling with the settings to see if I can make it work better. I'm happy with the color, contrast and DOF though.

St. Mary's Cathedral
This cathedral is located in Killarney, Ireland. It's hidden at the end of a back road and you wouldn't even know it was there. It's by far the most impressive building in the town. It was closed when I was there so I couldn't look around inside. This picture was taken from just inside the entrance to Killarney National Park. The park is worth exploring by foot, horseback, horse drawn carriage or bicycle. The carriage can be hired in the middle of town and they can take you through the park all the way to Ross Castle and beyond.

Ross Castle, Killarney, Ireland
Here's a picture of the partially restored Ross Castle in Killarney Ireland. The castle is inside Killarney National Park and is about a 2 mile walk from town. There is a guided tour for 5euro. This is one of the days where it wasn't raining but there wasn't much sun either.

St. Patrick's Cathedral
This is a picture of the main alter at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin, Ireland. The whole cathedral is really massive. Pictures are allowed inside; however, it's very dark so a high ISO is required resulting in some graininess. I think these will look great as black and white images. I was the only person in the whole place for about an hour until a huge tour group came in. They were really noisy and the lady at the ticket counter was giving them a very disapproving look. It made me laugh because it's the exact look you would think an old British woman would give to a misbehaving child. Maybe you can believe what you see in the movies.

Cliff Path Above Giant's Causeway
Been a while since I've taken pictures to post. Here's a pretty good picture from the cliffs above the Giants Causeway on the Northern coast of Northern Ireland. I've never seen coastline like this before and I have to say it is quite impressive. Can't imagine what it looks like after a mid spring sun shower. No rain when I was there yesterday, but the wind was running around 30MPH so I had to hang on to my hat while taking the picture. Will post more shots of the causeway in a few days. It's one of the "Wonders of the World" so I'm glad I got a chance to see it.
